Chipping

I want to thank Orin for his chip info. I burned a new eprom on Friday, and
drove it home (the car w/ the chip, not the chip itself!). I have the
Charlie spring, and no longer need the fuel pump jumper. I no longer get
any hesitation above 1.5 bar. It seems to pull constantly through the boost
range. I was convinced that I used to get a better power peak at 1.5 bar with
the stock chip, but that may have been an illusion since I felt hesitation
right after that.
I got the checksum wrong, so my check engine light stays on (code 1111), but
thankfully, the ECU still runs the code anyway. I'll probably fix this in
a couple of days..

I put new plug wires on and Mobil 1 10w30 (for the winter), so the overall
smoothness and power are better. BTW, I've run Mobil 1 15w50 for a long time
and found last winter that switching to 10w30 for the cold months makes
starting much easier!
