I've been wondering that for some time.. with the mysterious problems that come
and go. The most recent has been the brake pad-warning symbol on the LCD. It
appeared intermittantly for about a week. I haven't seen it in about two months
now. 

It's been my practice not to say anything that would offend "Dieter," Just in
case. I greet it like a old friend when I start up in the morning, and tell
people to watch what they say around him. I don't think it's infused with some
dead guy's soul.. but I take care to not hurt it's feelings. I even hate taking
my friends to look at other cars in it..
