Your quant is not running rich...it is burning oil!  If it were running
rich the smoke would be _black_; blue = oil burning!  There might be
a valve problem (i.e., burnt valve, bad valve seal, etc.)!  A
compression/leak down test might clue you in as to what is causing the
stuttering problem you are experiencing...
