Sputtering Quantum

Thanks for the responses I got.  I'm in the middle of checking out all 
the options.  I've been having problems with fuel delivery.  Today on my 
commute, It actually got so bad on I-85 that I had to pull off the road 
and the car shut itself down.  I want to think that it's starving for 
fuel, but I don't think it is.  When it was bucking and sputtering today, 
I noticed it backfiring significantly.  Wouldn't this indicate too much 
fuel and eliminate a fuel pump/filter problem.  I think one of my sensors 
is bad.  I'm headed home to check them right now.  Which one would cause 
it to run too rich?  Am I missing something?
