	(OK, time to reveal that I'm a closet diesel-head, too)

	The thing that's somewhat surprising is that big American
	diesels are very well-regarded - Detroit Diesel (division
	of GM, I believe), Caterpillar, and Cummins come to mind -
	but the technology never made it down to the smaller engines.
