At that rate, one should just put the $500 in the bank each month for a few
months, and use the account to maintain the Audi. You would certainly come
out ahead. Even if your navigation is poor (glub glub).
It depends also, though, on how much time you want your car to spend at the
shop. As someone pointed out a few months ago, its sad that such a durable
car should be so unreliable. Do you like used cars? Can you afford new
"comparable" car? I bet you could buy and maintain *two* urq's for the
price of a new Audi! Hmmm, but when they're Both Broken you still don't
have a car! I can attest to the fact that they always break In Pairs as an
operator of a two wreck fleet. Oh well.
