Re: how quick

I last week I had a series of stop light runs with a friend driving his
very cherry '78 Porsche 911 SC Euro targa. He would consistently be
behind by about a half a car length through each gear to about 90 wheb
he was about 2+ lengths back. (we backed down at that point.) He says he
has about 285 hp. I have Neds chip in a '91 20v. He used to have a V8 Q
and was shocked at what happened. Should I have been too? Is this the
result you would expect? His car runs fine and so does mine (1.8 bar). I
noticed I had a fuel cut off once. Does this happen at 7K rpm? My old
buggy has 188K and I probably should not been doing that but...

Any body know how fast that old 911 should be?

Just put on Brembo cross drilled rotors and Kevlar pads. Seems like I
have to stand on them to stop. Any break in procedures? BTW, is it
confirmed '90-91 200 non-Q brakes can replace the UFOs?

Thanks,
