Conversion

Hey Guys,
     I presently own an 82 Coupe Gt and would like to transform it 
into something incredible, or at least better.  Because of the year I cannot 
chip it and it does not have turbo so I am considering getting an 
engine and electronics out of a junkyard and rebuilding it.  My 
question to you is, "What year and model should I be looking for so that 
I can possibly chip-up and put a turbo on?"  Any and all suggestions 
will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks for your time.
