Very bright headlights

Xenons, most probably.  Personally, I find the sharp beam cutoff most annoying 
when they're coming towards me on country roads.  They're OK if you're outside 
the beam pattern, but if the oncoming car hits a curve or bump that lifts the 
lights onto you, they're completely blinding.
 
I have to admit to responding with 540 watts of halogen on occasion.  Mea culpa.
