freak accident update

Mental injury is just as real as physical injury.  A shocked son is, however, 
infinitely preferable to a dead one.

Some people win lotteries - some get killed in freak accidents.  You have the 
misfortune of a freakishly expensive trivial accident - but you could equally 
have had (as others have had) the situation of no material vehicle damage and a 
dead son.  Ridiculously unlikely - but so is what happened to you.

I don't think, in incidents as unique as this, that it's worthwhile to compare 
one make or model of vehicle against another.
