RE: <A4> I get a 1.8TQ!!!

FWIW, my Fiancee and I drove a 1.8TQ Automatic this weekend and are
pretty close to taking the plunge.
- You *can* get leatherette as a no-cost option (versus the velour). The
car
we drove was the [perforated] leatherette, not particularly appealing
IMO.
- The engine, even saddled with the Auto, is fun. Spunky, makes good
sounds, revs well, etc.
- Interior is a bit more spartan due to the lack of wood (the kind that
comes from trees), but I liked the look.
- I've been told first delivery of the 1.8TManuals is expected in
Feb/Mar.
- I was surprised by the price once the options were factored-in. With
Quattro, Sport Pkg, Met.paint, & Sunroof, you're looking at $30k out the
door
(this includes T&L here in WA.). Fairly hefty, but still a good value.

Oh, anybody know what "5-channel ABS" means, where's the 5th wheel?

Scott.
