I'm just a bit curious...my Coupe GT is (I believe) Tornado red but I don't
really see much difference between it and Mars red.  Is there really a
difference?

I had a Mars Red 1985 VW GTI. It is different in that it has a distinct orange tint vs the more pure red "Tornado red" that VW went to in later models. personally, I like the Mars Red better.
