17mm.  I have a little hex-shaped lump of metal that fits into a standard 
spark plug wrench.  Cost $2, and it's double-ended for other drain plugs.

Snap-On do a 17mm hex 1/2" drive (SAM17A) - the UK price is GBP20, or $30!!!
