RE: Slick 50 Claims & SAE

RE: SAE does not endorse Slick 50

OK, I understand that, but is it possible that the SAE has a
  paper(s) that
support a Slick 50 like material being introduced into an internal
  combustion
engine...IE: "SAE says that introducing PFTE in internal combustion
engines via suspension in synthetic oil every 50K
  miles is good"
or alternatively: "SAE says that introducing PFTE in
  internal combustion
engines via suspension in synthetic oil every 50K
  miles is harmful"
or "SAE says that introduction of "whatever" is "good or bad."

I had just heard that they had paid for some studies that resulted
  in statements
that backed up Slick 50's claims (without actually endorsing the
  product itself).
I'm curious as to how this would be done or if it never
  ever happens that way.
Could you shed some light here? This kind of thing (I
  would suppose) would
be helpful when researching any number of petroleum
  products including the
beloved Pentosin. Do SAE papers result in things like
  the the new "sunsplash"
                  symbol on oil
