re: lowering 82 coupe: al?

sorry for BW but my direct email bounced back from al@nomad.cyberion.ca

>Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you but I was away in Europe.

No problem. Hope you had fun.

>H&R can provide a progressive spring kit for your car that would lower the
car 1.25 in. all around. The ride quality would not be compromised but when
you toss the car into a corner, there will be added firmness.

Would there be a problem using the set of 4 new Monroe shocks (gasmatic
#17207 for rear) I inherited (with a parts car)? I take it that they would
be operating 1.25" away from their designed rest position - will this matter
? Thanks for your help if you have time.

And of course anyone else can feel free to pipe in on this one. Stock my
car is just too high (MHO), and it seems that I should change the springs at
the same time I switch the shocks, no? Not sure I want to come down 1.25"
all round, would prefer about 1" front, 1/2" rear. Am I wrong (typically,
yes)?
