RE: ABS on rear brakes on 90 CQ?

ABS works on *both* ends of my CQ. All the docs I can find say that's
the way it should be. I had a problem with the ABS on my old '89 90,
where the fuse panel had a bad connection on the bottom, caused the
instruments in the pod (speedo, tach, odo, gas, temp) to all stay on the
zero peg, and the ABS to not. Made for frequent out of gas adventures
(no gas gauge, no odometer). I ended up carrying a gallon of gas in the
trunk 'til I could get it fixed. Mattie P/A/VW mechanics found it in
about 15 minutes, cost $15 to fix, at the <gasp> dealer! HTH.
