Re: solstice sacrifice

So I take out my door handle and it's not the usual little cast lever broken
, it's the pivot pin for the finger pull itself, gone away and the spring
likewise. So, I go to my trusty parts box and scavenge a spring, and bang
the end of a cotter pin flat to replace the pin. So far so good.
Too bad it took me 1.5 hours to put it back in... seems I learned how to do
this on old 5000's and you do it all from the door handle hole, with the
coupe/4000 you have to take the latch off and leave the actuating rod
attached to the handle. (thanks Mr Bentley) Which I did and then managed,
three times in a row, to hook up the lock button actuator in such a way as
to block the latch actuator from its normal appointed route. Yummy fun if
you can get it. All is well now finally, and I wonder how I installed this
handle in the first place? I packed that whole latch with synthetic grease
before I put it back on, and installed the new gasket/trim pieces I bought a
while ago.
Jealous of the new door handle style...
One friend smashed her adnoH's nose in last week, another cracked his zneB's
oil pan Friday on a curb, and another discovered a crack in her trocsE's
windsheild today. I'm going back to the trees.
Oooh oooh oooh oooh give me a nice banana :::-0
