A4 interior covering

This question is specifically for A4 owners with black interior door
coverings/glovebox:

Have you noticed that this material -- whatever it is -- scratches and
scuffs extrememly easy?  It is hard not to hit your feet on the side of
the door or the door jam once in a while when getting in and out of the
car.  Now my doors are getting all scuffed up.  I can't seem to get the
scratches out with a warm, damp cloth or any kind of cleanser.  Any
comments or ideas?
