EXTENDED WARRANTY- Yessssssss
I have a 1990 coupe quattro with 61k miles on it that I picked up in October
'95. I bought a 2 year, 24k mile warranty for it from my credit union (THE
BEST! cheap interest, and the following:) for $690 total.
I have bought 3 cars from the credit union. 2 Coupe quattros (91, 90) and an
m3 (89). All had extended warranty, and all used it to death.
Though the warranty does not cover regular wear items like brake-pads and
belts, it does cover an extraordinary array of other repairs, like the $2500
job that they approved for repairing a trip computer that was more
"inaccurate" than broken. And they pay with their own visa card, so I never
feel the pain.
WELL WORTH THE MONEY- and helps when you sell the car, because the buyer can
tansfer the coverage AND feel confident that their car was not neglected.
Which, brings me to my last point. I think the coupe's gonna go--- I've been
wishy washy, but I finally saw the boxster at the car show. Kicks ass...
