But a supercharger is not a turbocharger.  And I think the difference will 
become more relevant now that some cars are to be offered with both.
 
Certainly my habit is to use "supercharger" for non-exhaust driven blowers 
(crankshaft or electric) and reserver "turbocharger" for the exhaust gas driven 
variety.  Their characteristics are very different.
