Careful, it _may_ be just the light that is the problem,
but I had this happen to me just a few months ago .. it used
to flicker, and then later stayed on permanently...

Discovered that the brake light will come on also when the
hydraulic fluid is low (or the pump is leaking...)...dealer
confirmed this, said something about brake loss when no fluid
is present, and that is why the light comes on...could not confirm
this anywhere, but did discover the pump was leaking, replaced the
pump, and the brake light no longer is on!

If this does not apply to you, maybe the push-knob on the
brake handle is sticking...
