I have the same problem on my '91 200Q. It seems the cables to the rear
calipers start to freeze up(corrode) and makes the red light on the dash
stay on or flicker. I'll prolly be replacing the cables in the spring. I
don't use the emergency brake anymore. Laying on the ground in the 20's or
snow is not my idea of a good time.
