Bought the '87 5000CS TQ because I wanted the performance package of 
Turbo and Quattro, so if it were not available as Q, then I probably 
would not have bought a new car at all, at that time.

In '93 we bought a new replacement for the '85--a 100CS, no Q. Seriously 
considered buying a Q as an option....but since this is my wife's primary 
car and she wanted automatic for Houston driving conditions, and adding 
Quattro would further slow the car down (that is in conjunction with auto 
tranny), then we opted for non-Q.  Now having been transferred back to 
Illinois,  I wish we had purchased Q.  It is an excellent driving 
control, active safety feature.
