I do have T1 and the latest in kewl modems; I have very little problem with
any other list including some very ponderous (6-700 entries) newsserver
discussion groups. It's the list itself because it slows down accessing
itself as the list grows. I've seen it before in a few other lists where
the list manager was blind to the problem because his own hardware moved
things right along _at home_. There are people out there accessing lists on
dozens if not hundreds of different set ups and there are ways at the list
end of things to speed things up. I mentioned the NEON list because it's a
good example of a list that waiting wise is completely transparent: it
works.
