Hoooo! Hang on a second here... if you look back at the posts. the
question was would I buy an audi if quattro werent available. I answered
no, and gave reasons why. Am I saying that my 90 quattro is better than a
non Q 90? Well, yes, but its because of the AWD. Not because it has a
"quattro starter" or even "Quattro fenders" Granted, a lot of the parts
are the same. But now be honest with me...What reason would I have for
buying a fwd 90? I cant think of any offhand....besides possibly the
safety. I still have a wife to prove this point. But as someone else
stated, if you're comparing apples to apples, there are many other cars
out there that can and will outperform an Audi 90 FWD in almost ANY
situation. How about an Escort GT at half the price?! Put in a roll cage
and now its just as safe!

I like audi BECAUSE of quattro. Amen. Thats all. I didnt pick it up for
its 'cool styling' Bzzzzzzt! The 90's look too 'japanese' IMHO. That isnt
necesarrily bad, so dont flame me, but I just dont like "generic car" and
I feel the 90's fall into that category when it comes to looks. The A4 is
a much sexier car, but from the rear, its not too far off from an Accord...

So I expressed my opinion...dont crucify me for it...and Ill still stick
by it. Its quattro dammit! :)
