91 200 q brake warning lite

He did 75mph WITH THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ON?

It might be trivial.

Then again, there might be something seriously wrong with the brakes.  Once you
know exactly what it is, you might perhaps decide to defer fixing it.

If you do, be aware that the warning facility has been preempted.

This is known as the "Apollo 13" effect.
