As a motorcyclist, I refuse to use any FRAM products. There were several
instances of FRAM motorcycle filters ( a very common size, 6017 ) blowing
off at high oil pressure conditions. I had to find out about it from the
net, not from any ads in the motorcycle mags or recalls. They just pulled
them from the shelves and paid off the racers they injured.
Since then I haven't bought any FRAMs. I use Mann or Mahle filters
available at any foreign parts store worth their salt.
