On my 87 5000 SQ, I removed the check valve from the line and that did
wonders for the flow rate.  On mine the valve was just above the pump
attached to the tank.

I was told once that they die it blue to distinguish it from coolant
(yellow/green).  Putting methanol into the coolant tank would be bad.  Plus
the blue makes it look like windex.

A 60% solution would illegal to sell as washer solution.  The new wiper
fluids are being sold with much less methanol because of clean air act
regulations in areas where it is not necessary.  Your tax $ at work.  I've
fould that Prestone Bug Wash stuff to be pretty good at cleaning the
winshield, but bad at leaving a residue.

Commercially, methanol should be about $1 per gallon depending on market
conditions.
