Intro, question, plea, offer

Quattrophiles,

Intro:
I am a new subscriber to the list. Used to have an ur-Quattro that I
put over 100,000 mi. on, sold it when I could no longer afford care &
feeding, replaced it with a Mitsu Galant VR4, as I will never again be
without AWD here in the Wilds of Wisconsin.

Question:
Anybody have Wise Thoughts or Inside Information re: when Audi will
decide to send over the cooking version of the A4? (I have coveted the
RS2 from afar, but could never afford one, even if they were to send
'em over.) I am not happy with the way Audi has (at least in the US)
avoided real performance in recent years, and would have a used S6, but
for the fact that it is too big for our taste. An A4 with serious
motive power (in excess of 200 hp) would be exactly the right thing.

Plea:
If I can't get a hot A4, I want the latest ur-Quattro I can
find/afford. My daughter is now big enough to climb in the back by
herself, so the excuse of needing another pair of doors is gone (age
56 backs don't recover quickly from stowing kids into the beacks of 2-
doors). I saw no '85 ur-Quattros in the adverts. Anybody have any
info on their frequency of offer, usual price, etc.?

Offer:
If I can't find me an '85, I will have a scratchy parts fiche set for
the ur-Quattro which I will not need. It was photocopied by a
microfilm house onto paper, and the paper copy has lots of overlaps
(but is otherwise serviceable), and runs to a pile some 2" thick (so
it ain't a $0.32 mailing job). I'll give it to the Right Place or
Right Person who makes a good plea for it, or will trade it for
something interesting & Quattro-related.

Best,
