RE: A8 V12 / Spyder numbers & history

It looks like its your lucky day I have the book "the cars that europe never
built: 50 years of experimental cars". 2+2 coupe with all wheel drive. 2.2
litre turbo with about 200hp. About the size and shape of a very smoothed out
scirraco. Had headlights just like the current Accuras with the 4 small holes
in the front. Had side windows like a subi SVX. Front and rear bumpers were
a kevlar/honeycomp/kevlar sandwich. Hood was aluminum. Doors were
steel/polypropylene/steel sandwich. Seat frames and steering wheel carbon
fibre. This car was built in 1981!!!

Do any of you also remember the AUDI QUARTZ? this was a 2 door sports car
shown in the late 70s or early 80s. I was a little strange in design, like a
first generation sciracco on steroids with the Audi rings at the bottom of
the C pilar which hid the gas cap. There is a book called something like
"Show cars they never built" that I saw this in, I wish I could track down
more info on it.
