SLAAB Ad
I saw a rather humorous SAAB ad in one of the British motorsports
magazines at Barnes & Noble yesterday. The punch line was something
like "While Audi A6 2.6 has the torque to pass traffic, SAAB has the
torque to pass AUDI." I was tempted to call up their info line and ask
them if they would like to prove that theory against my '87 5KTQ on:
a. Very curved road
b. Rain slickened road
c. Snow covered road
d. Ice covered road
But somehow I just figured that they would either:
a. Hang up the phone
b. Weasle out by saying that they were comparing with the A6
c. Take me up on my offer (when they come out with a decent AWD system)
Granted SAAB has had a lot of experience back in the 60's with rallying
and such, there is no way in hell that a SAAB will stay with a quattro
on any of the four mentioned conditions. Any idiot can go fast in a
straight line, but curves separate cars from quattros!
