I bet it is just a bunch of static build up from dust bunnies causing your
problem. Many times taking them apart, cleaning them, and putting them back
together is all that is necessary.

DO THIS FIRST: put some protective tape on the wood dash (I use the blue masking
tape used for painting), otherwise you'll probably scratch the surface, how do
you think I know? Then it's easy, put a couple phillips head screw drivers in
the holes on the side and this releases the holding mechanisim. Stick your
finger in the tape case holder and pull gently on the radio, do on other side
and it will be out.

Don't know, but probably won't give any levereage especially if the radio is
$150 (not that much).
