Common problem.  That switch is part of a many-function pot/switch assembly.  
It can be bought for, I believe, $38 from a Blaupunkt supplier, Continental 
Imports, in Florida.  Kind of expensive.

I just bought a remanufactured unit from Audi for $109, less the regular 
discount coupons that dealers issue, or $99.  What you get is a new looking 
box with a 1 year warranty.  By the way, if any of the little rubber tactile 
buttons are failing they cost $2.35 each x 15 = a lot more $.  Rebuilt starts 
looking better.

Resolder won't work, I've tried it.  You may buy a little time with some 
contact cleaner if you can get it into the switch, but I doubt it.

I made a set of removal tools with heavy coat hangar wire.  Others use nails. 
Simply push in nails about 3/4 inch in the 4 holes around box and pull it out 
by the cassette hole.
