The problem with my car sputtering and having NO power was
the connection to the DPR (differential pressure regulator)
on the fuel head.  I actually checked the connection earlier
tonight, but removing the connector and reinstalling it made
no difference.  It was not until after I had replaced the coil,
coil wire, fuel filter, that I was checking the FI grounds and
happened to bump the dpr connector with my hand.  Aha.
I removed the connector and noticed the corrosion, plus the 
plastic itself is cracked, so it doesn't have a tight fit.
I cleaned up the contacts and plugged it back in - wow, what
a difference.  The car screams.  It's almost like driving that
200tqw last week.  Well, almost :)

To bed now so I can get up in 5 hours to drop the car off at the
audi guru's to replace the center diff lock cable and maybe get
an alignment.

Oh - if you remove your tranny mounts, I gues you should use loctite
as all 3 of the bolts on my left side mount are now gone.  Sheesh.
