Hyd pressure accumulator???
Hey folks,
Glad to be back on the net! I took my car in the shop complaining about
bad pedal fell, and thinking there may still be air in my lines, but when my
mechanic checked it out, he told me the fluid looked fine and the brake master
cylinder was fine, but that my hydraulic pressure accumulator was dead. It sou
nded important so I told them to replace it, but I have no idea what this thing
does. Actually my mechanic tried to explain it to me, but I couldn't understan
d it. He said it was a nitrogen ball that does....etc. I didn't understand.
It also is going to cost me $520 for the part and labor to replace the th
ing! Ouch! Anyways, I was wondering what this part is, what it does, and whet
her this can be attributed to my poor pedal pressure problem? I'd appreciate
anyone who can shed light on this. Thanks.
Later,
Dan
