RE: [Fwd: upgrade to quattro]
$15k is approaching the bottom end of the price range of a 91 200q..Hard to do
better than that IMHO. 217 hp stock so no springs/chips to play with - already
lowered with big sway bars so handles pretty good stock. Fender flares so you
can run wide tires if you want. Downside - parts prices and UFO brakes (which
I don't mind)

want to upgrade to a quattro from a 86' 5kcst. I have owned it about six
months. purchased it for $3000 with 152k on meter. it is a 5 speed with
all the goodies. Nice dark grey with great gray leather. Have spent about
$1500 with local audi mechanic to get it handling right.
Funny thing was I was buying it for my daughter as her first car, she is
15. Now I only want to drive the 5000, when not in my company pick-up.
and I'll let her have the 92 mitsubishi galiant to drive.
My Audi mechanic told me if I liked this car I should try a quattro.
Test drove a A-4 2.6 quattro but not ready to part with $32K for a car
that isn't as comfortable and nice as my 86'. Any advice on an upgrade
for around $12 to $15K?
