Early in Dec. I finally got a Quattro - 87 5K TQW Black 107k Km (Needs
minor fixes but it's great) - so at Xmas
my first snow fall no problems, looking forward for more. Next snow fall
2 ft and I'm ready to try it again. I dig out the driveway and lower a
path to the two tracks in the road. The quattro all warmed up so I start
backing up... (one of the things that needs to be fixed) ... all the
windows fog up and I can't see anything. So as not to back into a snow bank
I drive forward turning into the fresh snow on the road side, giving it gas
so as to plow though to the clearer center. Not to be, I high center and
start spinning - no problem lock the diffs - no go so I try digging it out
and find I can put my hand under all the wheels. There I am, standing there
with my 4x4 with all 4 wheels off the ground and all the neighbours and my
wife smiling at me- help! Two nice people come by and give me a light push
backwards and I'm off sheepishly!
