Anemic wiper jets

The Car : 1990 100Q w/ cold weather package.

The problem : The passenger side winshield wiper fluid spray jets work just
fine. Unfortunatly, the Driver's side does not function very well. It shoots
a two inch stream, that is lucky to hit the windshield at all.

I've poked the holes with a pin (no sick jokes please), alas, that didn't help. 

I'm sort of thinking there is some sort of filter clogged up in there; but
don't really know anything about it.

Please send me advice/help.

P.S. Why is windshield wiper fluid _blue_??? It leaves nasty blue residue on
your car. Why don't they just make it clear? 60% methanol and 40% water. 

I would make it, but the cost of a gallon of methanol was over ten dollars..
RipOff. Maybe I can find a cheaper hardware store..
