I heard the very same interview!  Was it "Secrets of Speed"?  He was saying
that because they could get a lot more power to the ground without
wheelspin (please, let's not get into that one again)they could get on the
power earlier and therefore get out of the corners at a much higher speed.
Pretty cool.

Their "quattro" system was pretty far away from the production car version
though -- various dry (?) clutches and such.  No torsen.  I believe
SteadiRic posted a description of the system some time ago (care to
re-post, Eric?)
