Re: Some guidance? PST, final answer.

Kirby Smith said it all with his post on Loctite PST.

I will add that the stuff has a -65F to 400F temperature range
and is immune to most organic and petroleum solvents. It has
"high lubricity" and "will not shred to clog or contaminate systems".
If your house has steam heat, it works great on the pipes.

I had called Loctite many years ago. Unlike Steve Buchholz's
experience, they told me what the American equivalent was.
They also said that the American equivalent was white and that
572 from Europe was red. I am still trying to find where I
wrote it down.

Well, time for me to eat my words. 27mm = 1.06299 inches, 1+1/16 =
1.06250 inches. But I did measure my 2079 tool and it is smaller than
a 27mm or 1 1/16 socket, which measure nearly the same. My 1 1/16 sears
socket fits better than my 27mm Snap-On socket which feels loose.
