Yeah, it too a bit. Partly because when the salesperson was demoing
the car, I was in the passengers seat. The drivers window defaults
to "going all the way" where the passengers don't... The push/pull
kind of got me, but I know I can get used to that...

Huh? It was one of the things we liked most about our '90 90q20v.
You just set the temp, no screwing with "hot/cold dials" trying to
find the right temp. The A4 also has controls for where you want
the heat/cold going (which the '90 didn't). Yeah, I saw the smiley,
but I don't understand why I shouldn't encourage them... <shrug>

True, but I'd guess they're in the minority now. We have around 500
CDs, and 5 tapes here. We had to scavenge for tapes for the trip
so we could hear something OTHER than the radio... I mean, there's
not even an OPTION to get a CD head unit in the car...

We were going to get the base radio and put in a sony head unit to mate
up to our Sony changer. We have NO REASON to have a tape deck in the
car -- in our current one I don't think we've EVER used it, certainly
not since we got the changer...

Like tapes are much better? I was glad to have Evelyn there to
change the tapes -- it can certainly be done, but I've not had
any problems changing the CDs in my "car discman" in the RX-7,
not drastically more than tapes...

>available in CD (home recordings, books-on-tape, etc.) I prefer

Books on tape? Maybe once they get "Thinking in C++" or something.
:-) Besides, there's NO REASON for these not being available in
CD format. Heck, recording my own CDs I find easier than tapes...

Yeah, a set of those will certainly be in order. Next time we're by
some place that has them... However, we rarely take food INTO the
car from home. usually it's just picking something up. Besides,
the cups that WILL fit in them, you can't get two in side-by-side...
