Re: 36 hours with our A4 (we got it!) (semi-LONG)

I've been having this discussion with Dan Masi. He said that the
tape head unit give you more flexability, and I agree. However,
I'd use an inside CD-player at least an order of magnitude more
than a tape deck. I can't remeber the last time I used a tape in
our '90, but we often get new CDs when we're out and have to fumble
with putting them in the changer, and then a disc in the changer
ends up in the wrong jewel box because we don't carry them with
us...

I thought that when I first drove it too. However, I adjusted to it
quickly. My RX-7 has really nice feeling brakes, but you have to
press them HARD to REALLY stop. I can easily live with the A4s...

I've heard this complaint before. They are M+S, aren't they? They
seemed to do a good job for us in the snow in Chicago, and when the
roads cleared on our way back, they seemed to hold the road well
enough for M+S. Yeah, they aren't D60A2s, but in the snow that's
actually a good thing.

Haven't heard it on our car. We were driving around 70 much of the
way back. We've got to head to CO this weekend, so we'll see how
that is. The interstate to CO is 75...

Such is life. We have a Sony 10-disc changer that sounds like
RoboCop is protecting our music. Buzzzzzzz whirrwhirr buzzz...

Haven't seen that either, the car was completely free of "bad" noises
so far. I hope it doesn't, our '90 has a set of sounds, the drivers
seat squeaks at times, the steering-wheel squeaks in cold weather,
etc... <shrug>
