My 86 4kq had this same problem.  It was leaking oil, just a little bit, from
around the oil filter.  There were small hairline cracks right around where
the filter screws in.  The oil would also blow back to the transmission bell
housing and accumulate, dripping a few drops of oil every time I parked it.
 It didn't leak much, only about 4-5 drops each time I parked it, but it
eventually becomes overwhelming once you realize how much oil it really does
leak.  I took it to a local shop where the guy put some strong epoxy around
the area.  This took care of the problem at first, but I suspect that some
different stuff is needed.  I sold the car to a relative,and it is leaking a
little oil again.
