Re: V6 Reliability

     > To all Audi V6 owners, how has reliability been with your cars?

My 92 100 CSQW now has about 58K miles on it. I've had it for 16K of
those miles. I did the brakes at 48K, but that's not a reliability
issue. The transmission was replaced at 50K (under warranty). At
about 53K, I had to replace a leaking rear diff. seal and a leaking
power steering hose. I have the service records from the previous
owner and except for a couple of O2 sensors, it never needed anything
except scheduled maintenance before I got it. We've taken the car on
several long trips and has performed beautifully.

I've only put about 6K miles on our 92 100 S, and all I've done are
oil changes. It now has about 56K miles on it.

Right now, the wagon has a flaky outside temp sensor and both have a
couple of burnt out lights (the usual culprits: power window switch,
power mirror switch and heated seat switch). The 100 S seems to use
more oil than I would like (1 qt per 1500 miles) and just does not
seem to be as smooth as the wagon. The problem with having two cars
with the same engine is that you are constantly comparing their
     behavior to each other.

Add one more owner and two more V6's to your sample.
