RE: V8 quattro, 200 quattro, 90 quattro, quattro coupe



The brakes you're talking about are called Infernal - uhm, InTernal -
Caliper Brakes (also known as UFO brakes) and have substantially larger
rotors than the non-q 91 200 and pre-91 cars. They also tend to warp for
some people, but opinions are divided on that issue. Mine have warped
twice (when I bought the car they were warped and they did so again in
10K miles) bug I'd still take them over the non-UFO brakes for a couple
of reasons: they're a good conversation piece and I've heard from
another lister with 275hp in his non-UFO 91 200q that it's now
underbraked. I don't think that will happen with the very large swept
area of the UFO brakes (any my new custom pads).
