125k is _nothing_ as regards the basic health of the engine - Audis regularly
go two or even three times as far on the original engine without a rebuild.
(Mine is 1988, 135k - others here have a _lot_ more.)
There _are_, however, quite a few items that start to show wear around the 100k
mark. Proper maintenance is the key - don't be frightened by the odometer, but
_do_ be frightened by anything and everything else.
Join the Quattro Club - learn all you can in the time - there's _lots_ in the
archives here (thanks, Dan) about 4000Qs, and get a professional assessment.
Make sure the examining engineer is _THOROUGHLY_ familiar with Audis and
especially with quattros.
