Yes, and it's an interesting thought.
 
One problem I have with the 170/100s is _VERY_ short bulb life.  Ten bulbs in 
fourteen months.  It's a royal PITA with the ur-quattro, since the only way to 
replace the right-hand bulb is to take the headlight unit out of the car.
 
It's 100w element that goes - which leads me to suspect (but _only_ suspect) 
that 130/100s would show the same phenomenon.
 
I do drive with the lights on most of the time, though.  1,000 miles per bulb?
