Pulling to right '93-95 90 Quattro

My younger brother has a '95 90 Quattro that has pulled to the right since
he bought it 15 months ago (it had been sitting at the port for some reason
and he got a great deal because it was the previous model year). Before he
bought it, I told him to specifically ask if it had been damaged in any way
and if there was any mechanical reason it was sitting in the port. The
dealership assured him it was not damaged, for what that is worth. He also
discovered the pull within a week of delivery after ruling out improper
tire pressures, etc and the dealership assured him they'd take care of it.

During the ensuing months, he has been through the mill with the dealer,
and among other things was told the alignment is within spec and there is
nothing more to be done.

To the point: In asking around informally, he has heard that the pulling
problem is not entirely uncommon and asked me to check with the experts in
such matters - my fellow listers. Does anybody know of such a problem with
the '93 - '95 90 Quattro sedans? Much appreciation in advance.
