And what, pray, about those of us who drive on the left [right] side of the  
road?  Is this another "unintended acceleration"?
 
UK (NZ, Japan, ..) headlines: "Shock - Horror - German cars designed to drive 
into oncoming traffic."
 
Perhaps you should have suggested to your "five time Audi owner" that he ask 
his dealer for the suspension parts that are marked "LHD" and "RHD", and then 
look over his shoulder as he searches the parts fiche.
