Re:AoA.Dreams-Wagons

(1) Be careful, wagon owners are sensitive too.
(2) I think many here will agree that AoA has long been lacking in
the Wagon/Avant dept. Not all of us want the full luxury, battleship
weight, slushie A6 wagon. Its about time Audi introduces a Q wagon
for us bourgeoiuse / common folk at a lower step.
>It is really easy to see the...Passat wagon cannibalizing the A4
Avant. The Passat will cost the same but will be bigger and based on
the A6.<
(3) I agree with part of first statement. I think the separation
between the Audi and VW could be too narrow here.
(4) It is my understanding that the A4 & Passat are built using the
same chassis base, therefore I would not expect this to be any
different for the wagon. In fact, there's a great picture of the A4
on the german Audi page-obviously still a short wheelbase design.
(5) I'm crossing my fingers that the prices will be lower on the VW.
Especially since VW already has plans to build an even larger
platform car than the Passat based on the _new_A6 platform.
>wagon owners are not as image conscious as Sedan owners
(6) Which image? Explain Swedish Box craze for up-mobilites.
Explain GM land yachts for those who are stylistically challenged.
Explain the image either of these owners have when a 200tqw blows by
or my VW Synchro sneaks by while they're putting chains on. Image
can mean many different things, and despite what Agassi says...is
_not_everything.
